I think my mind has been officially blown. It all started when I read THIS POST by Patrick Macias about Japanese fashion line Slangy. In his post he shows images from the line (taken from the website of Shibuya-based shop Accel Spunky) that use the word Fuck in funny and nonsensical ways. I followed the links in his post and discovered not one but many clothing lines by Slangy that emulate Cholo style and fashion. Below are some highlights taken from THIS PAGE.

wow. those dudes are skinny! in some of the photos, they look a little more like skaters than cholos, since cholos would wear the shirts baggier. i know, it’s cholo-inspired, but i wouldn’t have realized that until the flannels came up.
yah thats cuz skaters got the style from cholos.. lol
in california seems weird since skating is so main stream now but just pretend they got brown skin and gotees when u see skaters and u will see cholo!! lol but your right about the baggy part, too dangerous to skate in baggy clothes

They should not come to LA dressed like this and go to the wrong parts of the town. They will not make it back to Japan if they do.
