Here’s my portrait of Amy Winehouse as Anima Sola. It came about after heated discussion and debate between myself, Sarah, and Maya Chinchilla over the pressures of being an artist, wealth, and addiction. While the reopened California Academy of Sciences is old news to most, Sarah and I went there for the first time yesterday and were blown away. I was sad to see that the dinosaur exhibit, a favorite of my youth, was gone but everything else was so beautiful and amazing. If you haven’t seen it by now then I highly recommend it.
