Caralibro went great! As I mentioned in my last post I was dying of curiosity to see an exhibit conceived and assembled completely via facebook. I thought the show was really solid and felt proud to be a part of it.
It was my first time at Sol Collective and I was impressed by the space. The attendance of the reception was a little light but I used the opportunity to record interviews with Curator/artist Xico Gonzalez and artist Crystal Galindo. Xico gave some good insights on the process of putting together Caralibro and Crystal talked about her amazing artwork and dropped some good science on macktivism. I’ve gotta say, seeing her work in person was so impressive. Crystal is an artist to watch for sure.
