Today I’m 39. On the real, 38 was the hardest year of my life. I’m still struggling with the losses and struggles of the past 12 months. I miss my Dad and Samantha every moment of every day. After everything that’s happened the one thing I can say is that I’m incredibly grateful for the friends and chosen family that have been my support system. The most humbling experience I’ve ever had is the kindness and patience you’ve shown me this past year.
I don’t think I’ve ever looked forward to being a year older than I’ve been now facing 39. I want this to be a fresh start, a year of renewal and growth. With that in mind I’ve put together my annual birthday mix with an eye on songs that have brought me comfort and solace in the past few months. If you’ve reached out to me or spent time with me this past year, this is my thanks to you.
